Week 12 – Tour to benefit the Denver Dumb Friends League

The tour last Sunday to benefit the Denver Dumb Friends League was a big success.  Many thousands in donations were collected for the Denver Dumb Friends League.  Today I’m posting images from the day as we will not be gathering at the garden this week.

It was a beautiful day.  Not too hot with a cool breeze.  Perfect for garden touring.  The garden was packed with people from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.  Cookies and lemonade were served on the lawn.  The apprentices were there to welcome the guests, keep the lemonade and cookies restocked and answer any questions from the guests.

Rob allowed people to walk through the front door, through the kitchen and out the back door to the garden for a quick tour of the house which was built in 1905.  That was an added treat to the tour.

So far, so much fun – Here is a video of some images I took:  http://youtu.be/qDTGa_VK8sM

I had a few of my book “Rob and David’s Garden” there and sold a few.  To check out the book click on the link to the right or go to: blurb.com/books/3256938
